Massage Tips - 5 Ways to Improve Your Experience

Chatting

Do you chat during a massage because you feel obliged to "entertain" the massage therapist? A friend of mine said she did when she would rather be quiet. There are no rules on chatting or not chatting. Some people are at ease through talking. If you like to chat we don't mind at all, but don't feel you have to. Many clients and therapists will engage a little chat to "break the ice" but most clients will fall silent as the nurturing and tactile sensations induce a deep relaxed state. Your therapist should encourage this as the client will have a more profound experience without distraction.  click here for more 하이 출장 안마

Declare Medical Conditions

Don't assume past or present medical conditions or surgery are not relevant. They may not be but there are contraindications and precautions that need to be observed to ensure you have a safe massage. We need to know about pregnancy, heart/blood pressure conditions, cancer, spinal surgery, allergies to name a few. If in doubt, declare it anyway

Eating Before a Massage

Don't have a massage straight after a big meal. You will feel uncomfortable lying prone and your energy will be busy with digestion. You need energy available to facilitate the elimination of toxins and waste that are released during a massage from the increase in circulation and lymph flow

Drink Water

Increasing your water intake after a massage will flush out the waste, toxins and lactic acid released and you will be less likely to be sore the next day if you've had some deep massage done.

Suffering Silently

You shouldn't endure unpleasant pressure or techniques because you don't want to complain or you feel its good for you. It isn't good for you if it puts you off ever having a massage again when you need one. If you prefer a lighter or stronger pressure let your therapist know. Everyone is different and clients pain thresholds are different. If you're receiving some pressure point work in problem areas it will likely be a bit unpleasant or painful temporarily. But it doesn't need to be excruciating. We can work very effectively at a tolerable pressure and release knots in increments. Your masseur will often check in with the client and will be always scanning for signs of discomfort but some people are very stoic and don't give much away. Help us help you by speaking up.
